Start Initiations to Eliminate Hunger - World Food Day

World Food Day
Every year on 16th of October World Food Day is celebrated to eradicate hunger and starvation. On this particular day, people from all across the world come together and show their dedication to eliminate this global problem. No one should be deprived of basic needs and amongst them one of the crucial elements is food, because when it comes to starvation the only acceptable number is zero. Every year thousands of advocates raise their voice on the issue and inspire a great movement to put an end to hunger.

Did you know, approximately ten percentage of the global population are facing chronic hunger. The number extends to millions and if we don’t initialize our steps to do something about it the results might be chaotic.

Every year 5 million infants die due to malnutrition related diseases.
More than 60% of the total victims are women.
About 40% of children residing in poor countries become victims of malnutrition which leads to         inadequate development of body and brain.

In the last decade the number of hunger affected victims has fallen by 100 million and that’s massive. At this ratio we will be able to eliminate hunger in the next 50 years. Start from small and innovative programs, after having ideas think big, involve a community and start programs like Feed the Future and take essential steps to make this world a better place to live.

You are the future, if you don’t move your steps forth no one will!!!
